Providers are encouraged to report any patient who breaches the Materia+ Community Standards, whether during an in-person visit or a virtual consultation, particularly in cases of abusive, dangerous, or inappropriate behaviour. Instances of violations may include no-shows, general misconduct, duplicate bookings, misrepresentation of identity, and fraud or theft.
Accurate and prompt reporting of patient behavior enables us to better assess when an individual should no longer have access to the Materia+ Marketplace, its products, and services.
To report a patient, go to Patients and select Patient Overview for the patient you would like to report. From there, click on the flag icon at the top of the patient's overview page.
Tell us why you’re reporting the patient by selecting one of the following reason; Violence, Harassment, Abuse, Spam, Other. Please provide specific details in the Tell us more section in order to submit the report. Do not include any patient personal details, only keep the specifics about their behaviour.
Although we cannot disclose specific outcomes from our investigations, our Trust and Safety team will thoroughly review all reports and contact the patient directly when necessary. Based on reports from providers and the monitoring of account activity, we may temporarily or permanently suspend a patient’s account. Rest assured that Materia+ consistently monitors all Materia+ accounts for any atypical behavior on the platform.
